Our “little elves” have been at it again. All year Barbara and
her band of merry sewers have been making doll clothes to support local agencies this Christmas. Dolls are purchased and the girls make clothes and quilts for each of the dolls.
The doll is dressed and then packaged with a change of clothes, a pair of pajamas and a quilt or afghan and then distributed to different agencies in the area that support young girls that might not get a Christmas gift. Barbara and the embroidery club have worked diligently throughout the year with this important outreach and they are looking forward
to putting the dolls together in time for Christmas. If you would like to donate a doll for Barbara’s project you can buy an 18” doll and bring it to the store where it will be put with the others. For those of you that are making clothes they need to be brought back to the store by the end of November. The first Sunday in December the
assembly will begin. Extra help is needed to dress the dolls and fix their hair in preparation for their homecoming. If you would like to
find out how you can get involved you can contact Barbara at the quilt store on Friday and Saturdays.
Tuesday Class-
You may notice a class listed on our calendar on Tuesdays. There is a group that is renting our classroom space for a class that originated as a course through Merced College. With state budget cuts
their program was cut and are now going to use our classroom for their class. The class is held independently from our store, but we are excited to welcome them to Cloth and Quilts. You can find
out more information about the course from the instructor Lisa Morales.

Wear your Cloth and Quilts t- shirt into the store
any Tuesday to receive a special discount. Once you
have selected your purchases and taken them to the register
you can pick your discount. In the “pot” will be
discounts from 5% to 25%. If you do not own one of these
special t- shirts you can purchase your shirt at the store.
(discount does not apply to clearance, Bernina products, class fees, long arm quilting, special orders, or tutto bags)
We have added Gift Certificates to our Online Store! Now it is even easier to drop hints to family members and they don't even have to come in to the store to pick them up!
We have designed our very own "Heart of the San Jouquin Valley Fabric". This fabric is available in two different color ways and has images of landmarks in our area that make this such a great place to live.
Check out both color ways, and be sure you purchase your yardage before it is gone!
You can find it in our store and also in our online store.
